'FSD' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Freetown, Sierra Leone, to Dakar, French West Africa, and as such reciprocals of the 'DSF' series (April/October 1944).
No data have survived of the first three such convoys, even if they actually took place, so the first of the known convoys was FS.4 of 2/5 April 1944 with the 2,532-ton French Arcturus, 813-ton British Empire Gypsy and 983-ton British Justine C. Allen, while the last was FSD.12 of 2/6 October 1944 with the 5,644-ton British Empire Opossum and 2,895-ton French Strasbourgeois.
