'Gilmerton' was a British unrealised deception plan to feed false information to a German general, who was a prisoner of war and about to be repatriated (1943/44).

The false information was that Germany was to be bombed to total destruction, but the plan was not implemented as a result of the opposition of Clement Attlee, the deputy prime minister.
