'GP' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Guantánamo, Cuba, to the Panama Canal, and as such reciprocals of the 'PG' (ii) series (July/August 1942).
The first of these convoys was GP.1 of 15/19 July 1942 with the 4,191-ton Honduran Atlantida, 2,757-ton Norwegian Bajamar, 418-ton British Barwick, 214-ton British tug C. H. Spedden, 2,473-ton US Cuba, 6,240-ton British Lautaro, 284-ton British tug Peter C. Gallagher, 3,289-ton US San Mateo, 3,211-ton Honduran Tanamo and 5,833-ton US Western Queen. The last known convoy was GP.7 of 25/20 August 1942 with the 5,074-ton Panamanian Aneroid, 7,176-ton US Arthur Middleton, 2,418-ton Norwegian Dea, 3,254-ton Honduran Makawao and 2,513-ton Soviet Pravda.
