Operation Hasenjagd (ii)

'Hasenjagd' (ii) was a German operation by at least one battalion of Generalleutnant Otto Lüdecke’s 264th Division against the 20th 'Dalmatia' Division of the partisan forces of Marshal Josip Broz Tito in the area of Brstanovo and Zelevo in German-occupied Yugoslavia (2/8 January 1944).

Supported by small Croat forces, the Germans swept the area in question, but with the exception of an early skirmish near Bitelić in the vicinity of Sinj, there was little fighting as the Germans were too few in number to locate and bring the partisans to battle, and as a result there were only negligible casualties on each side.
