'HB' was the designation of Allied troopship convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Australia to India and the Red Sea (January 1945).
The single known convoy was HB.1 on 9/23 January 1945 from Hobart in Tasmania to Aden with the 26,032-ton British Empress of Scotland carrying an unknown number of men, 11,450-ton US commissioned transport General George M. Randall carrying 5,088 men, and 11,450-ton US commissioned transport General William Mitchell carrying 5,115 men.
