HJ' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to St John’s, Newfoundland, and as such reciprocals of the 'JH' series (May 1942/April 1945).
The first of the series was HJ.1 of 15/17 May 1942 with the 3,489-ton British Fort Townshend, and the last was HJ.101 of 10/13 April 1945 with three British ships in the form of the 1,060-ton Meigle, 2,405-ton Otterburn Park and 2,415-ton Springbank Park.
