'Hostage' (ii) was a British pair of diversionary deceptions by Colonel David Strangeways' 'R' Force in support of the operations of Lieutenant General Sir Miles Dempsey’s British 2^nd Army in the Normandy campaign (23 June/21 July 1944).

'Hostage I' of 23/25 June was undertaken to aid the 'Epsom' attack toward Caen, and 'Hostage II' to support the 'Goodwood' (i) attempt of 18/21 July to break out of the Allied lodgement’s eastern face.
