'Irrgarten' was a German operation against the partisan forces of Marshal Josip Broz Tito in the Neretva river estuary area of the puppet state of Croatia within German-occupied Yugoslavia (29 September/5 October 1944).
The operation was undertaken by elements of SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS Karl Ritter von Oberkamp’s (from 1 October SS-Obergruppenführer und General der Waffen-SS Friedrich-Wilhelm Krüger’s) V SS Gebirgskorps.
