'Karo-Ass' was a German naval minelaying operation to the north-west of the islands of Elba and Capraia in the Ligurian Sea by ex-Italian torpedo boats of Korvettenkapitän Wirich von Gartzen’s 10^th Torpedoboots-Flottille (25/26 April 1944).

During the operation TA 23 struck a mine and sank, but no losses resulted from a clash between TA 26 and TA 29 with the US torpedo boats PT-202, PT-213 and PT-218.
