'KM' (i) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical and sometimes a literal suffix) plying the route from Kilindini, Kenya, to Diégo Suarez, Madagascar, and as such reciprocals of the 'MK' series (June 1942/February 1945).
The first of these 22 'Kilindini to Madagascar' convoys, designed to support the 'Ironclad' operation and subsequent Allied occupation of Madagascar, was KM.1 of 3/6 June 1942 with unspecified ships, and the last was KM.7D of 24/28 February 1945 with one ship.
