'Kruschen' (i) was a British planning and training exercise by Brigadier O. M. Wales’s 163rd Brigade of Major General E. H. Barber’s (from 14 April Major General C. B. Wainwright’s) 54th Division to discover the various means by which the German defence could be compelled to fall back from its concrete defences on the coasts of German-occupied Europe (April 1943).
