'Leader' (i) was a British small-scale naval undertaking by motor torpedo boats to recover Allied personnel from Crete after the success of the island’s seizure by the Germans in 'Merkur' (April/May 1942).

At least five motor torpedo boats were lost to attack in the waters off Crete in May 1941.
