Operation Mandarine

tangerine

'Mandarine' was a German unrealised early version of the plan later partially realised as 'Cerberus' for the relocation of the battle-cruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, together with the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen, from Brest on the north-western tip of German-occupied France to a point somewhere on the west coast of German-occupied Norway (winter 1941/42).
