Operation Marshfield

'Marshfield' was a British attack by the Special Operations Executive on the Rødsand iron ore mines, to the north of Åndalsnes, in German-occupied Norway (8/10 November 1942).

A first attempt at this operation had been made unsuccessfully during October, and the two-man Norwegian assault team eventually sailed on 8 November, but disappeared without trace after being landed on the Møre coast on 10 November.
