'MC' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical and sometimes a literal suffix) plying the route from Aden via Kilindini, Kenya, and Durban, South Africa, to Cape Town, South Africa, and as such reciprocals of the 'CM' series (November 1942/March 1945).
The first of the series was the MC.1 convoy of 7/16 November 1942 from Kilindini to Durban with the 15,551-ton British Almanzora and 15,507-ton Orduna, and the last was the MC.15A convoy of 4/12 March 1945 from Kilindini to Durban with the 8,331-ton British City of Canterbury, 8,351-ton Belgian Elisabethville and 8,351-ton Belgian Thysville.
