'MT' (i) was the designation of Allied coastal convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Methil on the Firth of Forth to the Tyne river estuary (February/September 1940).
There were 175 such 'Methil to Tyne' convoys between MT.1 of 1/2 February 1940 and MT.175 of 20/21 September 1940, the latter with 10 merchant vessels.
