Operation New Galahad

'New Galahad' was a US unrealised plan for long-range penetration operations, of the type pioneered by the British 'Chindit' forces in 'Longcloth' and 'Thursday', in the north of Japanese-occupied Burma (1944).

The force for the undertaking was to have been modelled on the original 'Galahad' Force, otherwise the 5307th Provisional Regiment and nicknamed 'Merrill’s Marauders'.
