Operation PG (i)

'PG' (i) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical and sometimes a literal suffix) plying routes to the south from the ports of Queensland to the ports of New South Wales, Australia, and as such reciprocals of the 'GP' (i) series (June 1942/February 1944).

The series began with PG.1A of 12/14 June 1942 with two British merchant vessels, the 4,088-ton Montoro and 5,832-ton Ormiston, and ended with PG.109 of 16/18 February 1944 with the 2,791-ton British merchant vessel Period.
