'Prien' (ii) was a German operation against the partisan forces of Marshal Josip Broz Tito in the north Istrian region of German-occupied Yugoslavia (8/11 August 1944).

The German force was centred on two regiments of Generalleutnant Hans von Hösslin’s 188^th Gebirgsdivision, whose 5,000 or so men combed the area as far as the river line linking Mirna, Planik and Jurdani but found little sign of the 1^st 'Vladimir Gortan' Istrian Brigade.
