'Radetzky' (i) was a German companion to 'Prinz Eugen' (i) in the early stages of Germany’s 'Barbarossa' invasion of the USSR, and in particular the 'Rentier', 'Silberfuchs' and 'Platinfuchs' northern elements of the undertaking, and took the form of an offensive from the Zapadnaya Litsa river bridgehead in the north of the Kola peninsula by the 141st Gebirgsjägerregiment of Generalleutnant Christian Philipp’s 6th Gebirgsdivision (1 August 1942).
