'Regen' (i) was the German withdrawal of Generaloberst Ferdinand Schörner’s Heeresgruppe 'Nord', under pressure from Marshal Sovetskogo Soyuza Andrei I. Eremenko’s 2^nd Baltic Front and General Hovhannes Kh. Bagramyan’s 1^st Baltic Front in the 'Riga Offensive Operation' of the 'Baltic Strategic Offensive Operation', from the 'Riga-Ost' position into the Kurland peninsula, otherwise the 'Salaspils-Stellung', on the western side of the Bay of Riga (11/14 October 1944).
