Operation RM

'RM' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Rangoon, Burma, via Madras, India, to Colombo, Ceylon, and as such reciprocals of the 'MR' series (June 1945).

The first of the three such convoys was RM.2 of 3/7 June with the 11,660-ton British Derbyshire and 11,162-ton British Dunera, and the last was RM.4 of 18/20 June with the 11,348-ton Indian (ex-British) Llanstephan Castle.
