'Rodney' was a British half of 'Splendid', whose other component was 'Renown' (30 December 1943).

In this undertaking by the Special Operations Executive, the submarine Marea of the Italian co-belligerent navy tried unsuccessfully to land three agents on the coast of Italy to the north of Chioggia.
