'Satrap' was an Anglo/Turkish conference in Adana on the south-east coast of Turkey between Prime Minister Winston Churchill and President İsmet İnönü (30 January 1943).
Churchill had travelled to Turkey in the hope of securing the latter’s entry into the war on the side of the Allies, but Turkish neutrality and İnönü's policy based on rationing concessions to each side meant that the conference ended without substantial results.
