'Scavenger' (i) was a US carrierborne air attack by Rear Admiral Joseph J. Clark’s Task Group 58.1 and Rear Admiral Alfred E. Montgomery’s TG58.3 against Japanese positions and installations on Iwo Jima and Chichi Jima.
