'Schimmel' was a German naval minelaying operation to the north-west of the island of Elba in the Ligurian Sea by three ex-Italian torpedo boats of Korvettenkapitän Wirich von Gartzen’s 10^th Torpedoboots-Flottille (21/22 April 1944).
