'Seek' was a British naval undertaking, subsidiary to 'Hide', to clear the Skerki Channel, between the north-east coast of Tunisia and the south-west tip of Sicily (22/23 December 1940).
The task was undertaken by the destroyers Duncan, Encounter, Isis, Jaguar and Wishart of Vice Admiral Sir James Somerville’s Gibraltar-based Force 'H' in an effort to clear the area of Italian submarines and so ease the passage of the rest of Force 'H'.
