'Silberstreife' (ii) was a German attack on the Yugoslav IV Corps of Marshal Josip Broz Tito’s partisan forces in German-occupied Yugoslavia as part of 'Panther' (viii) to secure the German communications back toward the coast of the Adriatic Sea (December 1943).
At the same time the staff of Generaloberst Dr Lothar Rendulic’s 2nd Panzerarmee was instructed to evacuate all Yugoslav males of military age, some 6,000 persons in all, to camps in Sisak and Karlovac.
