'Steinsel' was a US tactical radio deception by the 23^rd Headquarters Special Troops to simulate the signals traffic of Brigadier General Harold W. Blakeley’s US 4^th Division with the object of persuading the Germans that this formation was still in the area of Steinsel near Luxembourg even as it was moving to the north in the direction of Houffalize in Belgium (27/29 January 1945).
