'Storch' (i) was a German unrealised plan for the deployment, by Fieseler Fi 156 Storch light aircraft, of special parties of Generalleutnant Hans Behlendorff’s 34^th Division in General Ernst Busch’s 16^th Army within Generaloberst Gerd von Rundstedt’s Heeresgruppe 'A' onto major road junctions near the Luxembourg/French border, and hold them to prevent their destruction and so facilitate the passage of larger German forces in 'Gelb' (October 1939).
