'Storch' (i) was a German unrealised plan for the deployment, by Fieseler Fi 156 Storch light aircraft, of special parties of Generalleutnant Hans Behlendorff’s 34th Division in General Ernst Busch’s 16th Army within Generaloberst Gerd von Rundstedt’s Heeresgruppe 'A' onto major road junctions near the Luxembourg/French border, and hold them to prevent their destruction and so facilitate the passage of larger German forces in 'Gelb' (October 1939).
