'TBC' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the coastal route from the Thames estuary to the Bristol Channel, and as such reciprocals of the 'BTC' series (December 1944/May 1945).
The first of these 162 convoys was TBC.1 of 8/11 December with the 7,467-ton British Beaconstreet, 7,069-ton British Empire Clive, 7,457-ton British Empire Meteor, 4,287-ton Norwegian Idefjord, 7,176-ton US James B. Weaver, 6,501-ton US Nemaha and 7,210-ton British Samhope escorted by the Canadian corvette Drumheller. The last was TBC.167 of 23/26 May 1945 with the 5,117-ton British Dan-y-Bryn, 7,209-ton US Deborah Gannett, 7,087-ton British Empire Haldane, 7,045-ton British Empire Stalwart and 6,554-ton British Luxor escorted by the Canadian corvettes Drumheller, Statice and Summerside.
