Operation TG (iii)

'TG' (iii) was the designation of an Allied single troop-carrying convoy from Naples to Anzio for 'Shingle' (21/22 January 1944).

The ships were the 14,013-ton British Ascania, 11,236-ton British Circassia, 11,660-ton British Derbyshire, 11,030-ton Polish Sobieski and 20,012-ton British Winchester Castle together with six British commissioned infantry landing ships in the form of the 3,616-ton Boxer, 3,616-ton Bruiser, 9,919-ton Glengyle, 4,135-ton Prinses Beatrix, 3,244-ton Royal Ulsterman and 3,616-ton Thruster.
