'TGE' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Takoradi, Gold Coast, and Lagos, Nigeria, to the east for dispersal (September 1943/November 1944).
The first of the 18 such convoys was TGE.1 of 22/25 September 1943 with the 14,134-ton Dutch Boissevain and 20,022-ton British Duchess of Richmond, and the last was TGE.18 of 28/30 November 1944 with the 14,135-ton British Highland Chieftain and 10,474-ton Dutch Johan de Witt.
