'Trueform' was a British special forces operation by the 1st and 2nd Special Air Service and the Belgian Independent Parachute Company (5th Special Air Service) against German transport and petrol dumps at Pacy in France (17/26 August 1944).
The 102 men provided by the three units involved were parachuted into 12 drop zones to the north-west of Paris in 25 parties. The operation had been undertaken too late, however, and the 'Trueform' parties were able to tackle only the very last of the German forces as they pulled back to the east.
