'Trundle' was the British operation to bring the harbour of Tripoli, on the north coast of Libya, back into service as quickly as possible in order to facilitate the supply of General Sir Bernard Montgomery’s 8^th Army during its 'Guillotine' (ii) advance to the west into southern Tunisia (January 1943).
