'Utopia' (i) was the British original version of 'Maurice' (ii), the landing at Åndalsnes in central Norway, as the southern part of the pincer movement designed to recapture Trondheim after its German seizure in 'Weserübung Nord' (March/April 1940).
'Utopia' (i) was to have been a preliminary undertaking in which British naval parties would have secured the town and its port facilities in advance of the 'Maurice' (ii) landings.
