'WEC' was the designation of Allied military convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from the Isle of Wight to France (December 1944/May 1945).
The first of these 22 convoys was WEC.1 of 7/8 December 1944 from St Helen’s Roads, Isle of Wight, to Cherbourg with three ships, and the last was WEC.22 of 27/28 April 1945 over the same route with two ships.
