'Whinchat' was a British operation by the Special Operations Executive to reinforce a district leader of the Milorg military resistance organisation in German-occupied Norway (22 March/8 May 1945).

R. Holter was parachuted into the relevant area on the night of 22/23 March, and operated in Norway until the end of the war.
