'Wilderer' was a German special forces operation to parachute 15 men and two doctors into a pocket of units of Generaloberst Georg-Hans Reinhardt’s Heeresgruppe 'Mitte' trapped well to the west of Minsk in Belorussia by the Soviet 'Bagration' strategic offensive (late August 1944).
