'Wilhelm Max' was a German unrealised plan for naval units to screen and provide gunfire bombardment support for the advance of the right-wing of the land forces of Generaloberst Fedor von Bock’s Heeresgruppe 'B' into the Netherlands and Belgium, and of Generaloberst Gerd von Rundstedt’s Heeresgruppe 'A' into north-eastern France during 'Gelb' (29 October 1939).
