'Wollin' was a German naval minelaying operation by Fregattenkapitän Hans von Schönermark’s Minenschiffsgruppe 'Nord' (minelayers Brummer, Cobra and Königin Luise) supported by the minesweepers of Fregattenkapitän Rudolf Lell’s 5th Minensuch-Flottille (6/7 March 1941).
The operation was the fourth and last stage in the creation of the great German minefield belt in the northern part of the North Sea, and laid in the area about 60 miles (100 km) to the east of the Shetland islands group.
