Operation WVC

This was the designation of Allied convoys plying the route between St Helenís Roads, Isle of Wight, or the Solent to Le Havre in northern France with supplies for the support of the Allied forces fighting their way through Belgium and the Netherlands into Germany (December 1944/May 1945).

The first of these 161 convoys was WVC.1 of 9/10 December 1944 with a mix of 23 small and large freighters and other merchant vessels, and the last was WVC.165 of 23/24 May 1945 with unspecified vessels.
