'XC' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route across the Indian Ocean from the Chagos and Maldive island groups to Colombo, Ceylon (May 1943/December 1944).
The first of these 36 convoys was XC.1 of 24/27 April 1943 with the 7,754-ton British Santhia, 4,927-ton British Singu and 4,324-ton British Taiping, and the last was XC.35 of 20/22 December 1944 with one ship.
