Operation XTG

'XTG' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Alexandria, Egypt, to Gibraltar via Tripoli, Libya, and as such reciprocals of the 'GTX' series (June 1943).

The first of the two convoys was XTG.1 of 3/17 June with 20 merchant vessels, the oiler Green Ranger, and the commissioned rescue tug Jaunty towing the escort destroyer Badworth, and the second was XTG.2 of 18/29 June with 25 merchant vessels.
