Operation ZK

'ZK' was the designation of Allied convoys plying the route from Brisbane, eastern Australia, to Port Moresby, New Guinea (March 1941/July 1942).

The first of these 12 convoys was ZK.1 of 15/21 March 1941 with the 9,424-ton British Katoomba and 6,683-ton Australian Zealandia. The last was ZK.16 of 28 July 1942 with the 7,176-ton US Abiel Foster, 1,861-ton British Carlisle, 7,176-ton US John Hart and 4,131-ton Dutch Maetsuycker.
