'Honeysuckle' was a British deception planned and implemented as a supplement to the 'Rosebud' radio deception intended to validate the existence in German minds of Lieutenant General George S. Patton’s fictional US 1^st Army Group, and as such was based on a simulated amphibious assault in the Hayling Island area by two fictional groupings (the naval Force 'M' and the 55^th Division).
