'Laubfrosch' was a German series of three meteorological undertakings (1944).
'Laubfrosch I' was a plan in the summer of 1944 to establish a weather station on the east coast of Greenland. Later renamed 'Taaget', 'Laubfrosch II' was the establishment in the late autumn of 1944 of a weather station on Bjørnøya. Later renamed 'Landvik', 'Laubfrosch III' of the late autumn of 1944 was concerned with the re-establishment of a weather station in the southern part of Spitsbergen island, north of Norway, to work in tandem with the weather station on Hopen, a small island to the south-east of the main part of the Svalbard islands group.
