'Petrinja' was a German and Croat operation against the partisan forces of Josip Broz Tito in the Okučani, Lipik, Banova Jaruga and Novska area of the puppet state of Croatia in Axis-occupied Yugoslavia (22/24 June 1943).
The Axis forces allocated to the operation were, from the German army, elements of Generalleutnant Josef Brauner von Haydringen’s 187th Reserve-Division and one armoured train, and from the Croat home army elements of Pukovnik Josip Solc’s 1st Mountain Brigade and Pukovnik Stjepan Grlić's 4th Mountain Brigade. The Germans suffered no losses or made any claims, and there is no mention in the post-war Yugoslav literature of any clashes in that area during this period, so it is probable that the operation either failed or was cancelled.
