'Ransack' was a British unrealised plan to land a substantial 'hit and run' force, up to a brigade in size, straight onto a suitable location on the English Channel coast of German-occupied northern France, such as the Pointe de Laire (1941/42).
The plan was eventually and sensibly trimmed in its ambitions and last considered for the Pas de Calais area late in 1942 before finally being abandoned.
