'Rose' (ii) was a U-boat minelaying operation in the Pechora Sea, off the north coast of the USSR, by Kapitänleutnant Hans Hildebrandt’s U-636 (31 July/7 August 1943).
The boat laid 16 TMC mines in san area to the north-east of Sengeysky island on 3 August, and one of these sank the 7,169-ton freighter Soviet Tbilisi on 6 September.
